tapsquare: iPod Library Access

So you want your app to somehow process raw PCM samples from the user’s iPod Library in iOS4. Maybe you need to timestretch those tracks for a DJ app, or maybe you want to write a visualizer. Or maybe you want to write an app that makes it sound like your user’s entire music library was performed…

Filipino Reader Conference: ReaderCon Filipino Friday: Week 3

I love that the school that I graduated from (DLSU) and the school where I’m working now (DLS-CSB) has an amazing library. Bookstores here also have good collections. Of course when you need a specific book, it would probably take you 6-8 week before you get it. I haven’t tried ordering books that way though, although I’ve tried CDs.

Hi, again! We hope you had fun with the two previous ReaderCon Filipino Friday posts. And we hope the fun includes both the writing of the posts and the getting to know other readers better.

For this week’s Filipino Friday, we want to know how you feel about being a reader in the…

Filipino Reader Conference: ReaderCon Filipino Friday: Week 2

I started reading because I wanted to read Funny Comics before (the one with SuperKat) and I couldn’t understand the comic. My Mom taught me to read and my Dad bought a lot of newspapers because he was into PR. They later bought 3 sets of encyclopedias and I started reading those from cover to cover. I started collecting Marvel and DC Comics also so that meant more reading. It was so crazy when I was grade school that I would read the textbooks in advance even before I went to school! Thanks Daddy and Mommy for the gift of reading! :)

filipinoreadercon:

Hi, all! It’s the second week of our ReaderCon Filipino Friday. First of all, thanks to everyone who participated in last week’s Filipino Friday topic. If you haven’t yet and you still want to, you still can! We put the topic up on Fridays, however you can respond to it any day of the…

Filipino Reader Conference: ReaderCon Filipino Friday: Week 1

I read almost everything but when I stayed in Burma, I got introduced to British authors like V.S. Naipul, Graham Swift and Margaret Wood. I liked reading Benedict Anderson’s Three Flags and I use Malcolm Gladwell’s books as a reference. I usually read online at gnxp.com, kottke.org and I’m liking longform.org right now especially as I’ve discovered Angela Lee Duckworth’s work on grit because of it.
